Have you ever thought through the lies you tell yourself? One recently came to light for me, as I have honestly believed that I can’t bake. While the statement is true, what is false is my belief that I can’t learn how to bake. Not only do I have a fear of learning to bake, and in the process looking stupid… For me, baking, unlike cooking, seems to be an exact science approach. If you don’t hold the line of the recipe, you are bound to flop!
I have struggled to blog with the rhythm and intensity that I set out as a goal, when I created this site, driveclt. I wish I could say that I was suffering from writer’s block (well a part of me wishes it was that easy). I know better though, and to be honest, I think it is because of fear.
A friend on facebook, recently posted something to the effect of ‘enough of the drama, can someone share something positive!‘ I know why Sonia posted that. It’s been another one of those weeks, where racism and our divide in South Africa, raised its ugly head.
So going through my Dropbox account, I was confused as to why I had a picture of this receipt.
Punctuation! It maye seem dramatic, but it can also save you from the drama. Every time I drive passed this sign, and look at the below school board, I think of Jordan.
